Julie Hudson at the British Museum put me in contact with Dr Kingsley Daraojimba, an archaeologist at Cambridge, who works on the Igbo-Ukwu bronzes. The community would like facsimiles of the bronzes. Kingsley is applying for a grant from Cambridge Africa for €5000 to produce a copy of one key object. The aim would be to use the facsimile as proof of concept to then produce facsimiles of further bronzes.
